A recent survey has revealed that over half of women have experienced or continue to experience forms of sexual harassment in the workplace. This can have a severe effect on the victims and the places where they work. Therefore, employers need to develop effective responses when incidents occur and provide assistance to victims.

Join this Westminster Briefing on the 24th January for an up to date brief on the latest measures that should be taken, discuss how you can create change for the better in your workplace and learn from best practice case studies to shape effective strategies to tackle the problem head-on.

Key issues to be addressed:

  • Defining harassment in an employment context
  • The legal responsibilities of employers to protect their workers
  • Establishing clear and effective grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • Giving victims the confidence to think the will be believed and that actions will be taken
  • The role of senior and middle-management in sexual harassment cases
  • Developing effective means of response
  • Writing and communicating a clear harassment policy
  • Increasing awareness of support available to victims
  • Handling difficult conversations appropriately
