Sector Knowledge Seminar: The Welfare and Employment Sector

This Sector Knowledge event will give delegates a comprehensive overview of the stakeholders, institutions and structures of the welfare and employment sector. This will include in depth investigations into the roles of stakeholders at all levels, including the Department for Work and Pensions, Jobcentre Plus, Local Government and Private and Third Sector service providers.
The seminar will show how all these organisations join together in the process of policy formation and delivery and give delegates a view of the current strategies and initiatives informing the work of the sector. Crucially, the day will also give an insight into the current political and economic climate surrounding the sector and how this may effect legislation and policy development in the short and medium term.
